The Breastfeeding Center is designed to be a family-friendly resource for breastfeeding mothers and families. The center is operated by a staff of Board Certified Lactation Consultants and Educators all willing and able to help with any breastfeeding needs that you may have. We carry breastfeeding-related products (including brands such as Medela, Ameda, Hygeia, etc...) which include breast pumps and accessories, nursing tops/tanks/bras, healing and herbal products, baby carriers (the ErgoBaby Carrier and the MayaWrap Sling), pillows, blankets, covers, and much much more! Each of our staff is knowledgeable in all of our products as well as bra-fitting, and will be able to give you any assistance you may need with finding the right product.
In addition to the products we carry, we also offer a myriad of breastfeeding-related services. We provide one-on-one Lactation Consults (for more information and pricing on our consults, see our "Services & Rates" page), as well as breastfeeding support groups in San Mateo, California. We also have three classes; an Infant/Child CPR & First Aid, Infant Massage, and Baby Sign Language (see the "Classes" page for more information). Additionally we rent out Hospital Grade Double Electric Breastpumps (and accessories) by Medela, Ameda, Hygeia, and Whittlestone which may be rented weekly, monthly, or long-term.
Our store also has a baby scale (calibrated weekly), two changing tables and several places to nurse in comfort which we encourage our customers to use whenever they would like, free of charge.

Healthy Horizon's was founded by Sheila Janakos, IBCLC, LE, RLC, MPH. Originally working from home she has since expanded the breastfeeding center to its current location at 1432 Burlingame Ave, Burlingame, California.
